Nothing too definitive as yet, just a few samples from my new 14mm lens. It seems very, very sharp and distortion free. It isn’t a 35mm equivalent focal length I’m familiar with (21mm) but it is wide, which is why I wanted it.
All I can say is that I’m very happy with it thus far, I just want to find a landscape to use it on.
Note, any vignetting in the above is a product of post processing.
Update 03 February 2013: I took my X-Pro1 and 14mm out when I went to drop off some junk at a local charity shop and spent 15 minutes in and around another one of the local parks. It was very, very overcast today, so some of these are at higher ISOs.

My suggestion for landscape: Cape Town 😉
How was your trip? Cape Town is one of those places I’ve told myself I will visit at some point, I really want to climb Table mountain.
Absolutely fantastic! Climate, scenery, diners, winelands, all superb!
By theway, I was glad I had the opportunity to buy myself a 12-35/2.8. It is the only lens I used during the 2 weeks I was in Cape Town and never missed my other lenses 🙂
Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself. I think one could be very happy with just 3 m43s lenses, the 7-14, the 12-35 and the 35-100. Those who knock the 12-35mm must be looking at different results to me!
Nice photos! What film simulation did you use?
These were all processed from RAW in Capture One
